When I login to Athena 9, I recently started getting these warnings: 12:20 xscreensaver: warning: /etc/pam.d/xscreensaver does not exist. 12:20 xscreensaver: password authentication via PAM is unlikely to work. It is possible that this is caused by something getting written to my dotfiles when using xscreensaver on Athena 10. This should be investigated with a clean account. |

Evan recently did some preliminary investigation into what exactly Ubuntu's "supported on the desktop for 3 years" LTS guarantee means. As far as he has been able to tell, it is possible that this does not include support for packages in "universe". Since openafs is in the "universe" repository, this might mean something for long-term Debathena support of old releases. |
