I think we've discussed this kind of thing a few times previously and decided both that the Debathena repo was the wrong place for this and that we should definitely have a repo of some sort to put software we've written that on the grounds of stability or trustworthiness alone would be okay to put in the Debathena repo. Since we don't have a SIPB-wide bug tracker (and this is effectively a bug, not just a nice potential project), and we'd almost certainly want to work with Debathena infrastructure at least on the software side (da sbuildhack, etc.), I'm filing it here. Probably the interesting issue here is how people not on debathena-root should do builds or uploads of source packages. |

We have discussed this before, but I have never actually got around writing this down. Debathena, despite being a modern operating system, and despite the fact that it's 2014, still maintains legacy concepts from the days before like local privilege separation. To mitigate that issue I propose that we ship a simple binary, yolo, which executes the command it was asked. Of course, it should have a setuid flag and be owned by root. For example:
