Lucid's default background is in a different location from Karmic's, meaning that diverting /usr/share/images/xsplash/bg_2560x1600.debathena.jpg doesn't do anything. I don't know where Lucid is keeping its background image. But we should find it and replace it as well. (Lucid doesn't use a throbber between the greeter and your desktop, either, meaning that the owl-spurting-blood throbber isn't getting used either) |

Lucid's gdm appears to run on tty8, not tty7. At the very least, we should make sure that ttymsg tells users to press Ctrl+Alt+F8 instead of F7 on Lucid, and include tty7 in the list of ttys the message gets displayed on. For super duper extra bonus points, we should figure out how to detect which tty gdm is running on, instead of hard-coding it. |
