| Description |
We should update counterlog to include the output of lsb_release -sd, so that we can compile a list of users running old distros and tell them to upgrade before Ubuntu de-supports them. This requires coordination with ops to ensure that this doesn't break their existing scripts. Marking as critical, because Intrepid turns off in April, and there are Interpid machines in the wild. |

| Description |
It was apparently supposed to be the case that you could just include divert.mk if you just needed the low-level functionality, and not config-package.mk. As far as I can tell, this was undocumented. We used it in 3 packages, which have now been fixed (#1328). We should either document that we broke this, or ship a stub divert.mk with a wildcard target which yells at you and then includes displace.mk. Or decide we don't care. |

We started to do this over e-mail (Subject: the impact of each metapackage), but we should, by the summer, come up with a policy regarding how software gets added to -extra-software, -third-party, or one of the major metapackages (clients, standard, login, etc). |
