Someone who understands more about the challenges of doing this (mumble APIs mumble) should speak up and either explain what is needed, or wontfix it and I'll just use subprocess in the nautilus-afs prefpane, which I'm rewriting for Gtk3

Both Scripts and XVM have packaged it. We should snapshot their sources or something. We should also make an effort not to diverge from each other.
