Description (last modified by geofft) (diff)
The attached PDF is sheet music from my a cappella group that we printed this week for auditions. The noteheads, key signature, etc. print about a whole step higher on the page than they display in Evince and xpdf.
In years past, the full document has printed correctly on Athena 9 / lprng. I haven't tested this particular PDF, although as mentioned, it renders correctly on-screen.
I assume this is some conversion issue between PDF and PostScript? involving CUPS; I guess I'll try to capture the generated PostScript? from cups.mit.edu.

Someone should re-test this using the "mitprint" printer (provided by cluster-cups-config, currently in -development) and Pharos. If it works there, we should close the ticket.

I printed this on Pharos today. The output I got matched what Evince displayed on the screen. I'll note that this is a poor test case, because even in on screen viewing (Evince, xpdf, Acroread, and Preview.app), the alignment of the notes is clearly off -- that is, they don't line up with the staves. In the first bar, middle treble clef, are those first two notes supposed to be an E tied to an F#, a D#->F#, or a D#->E? I'm guessing D#->F#. Anyway, the Pharos output matches the on-screen output, so I think this is WFM...
