larvnet-wrapper maybe fails on natty cluster

Description

While tracking down #928, I tried many things to get a working login session. One of them was disabling larvnet-wrapper; we should investigate if there is an actual issue here, and if so, fix it.

  • Upstream bug set to LP:544935
  • Owner set to jdreed
  • Milestone changed from The Distant Future to Natty Beta

Changing nc's args from -q0 to -q1 fixes this (as well as the counterlog issue Anders was seeing).

We should switch to socat for this and counterlog, assuming it's available in all the distros we care about.

I'll note that if we switch to socat, we'll need to explicitly Depend: on it in counterlog and larvnet-wrapper (although for the latter, extra-software-nox also depends it). Unclear if we need to pass -T or -t to socat.
