ddcprobe requires root, so no, we can't do this via athinfo. There are a variety of stupid hacks we could do here, but none of them are worth it for a problem that does occur that regularly.

There are also just plain hacks, involving a privsep user for athinfod and sudo configured to not require a password for ddcprobe, but "meh".
