Since we've lamed out on this repeatedly, so here's a question: Do we still want a live CD? Should we instead focus on creating a live USB stick? The advantages of this are: easier to update, works with netbooks, several orders of magnitude quieter, and probably other things. I assert that the average MIT undergraduate has access to at least a 1GB flash drive (uCenter periodically gives them away for free in exchange for spamming you), which already gets us 400MB more of storage.

If anyone would like to take the new liveCD for a spin it is located here:
/mit/jrjarvis/Public/debathena-i386.iso
The updated tool package is in
/mit/jrjarvis/Public/debathena-live
For now I removed ubiquity so there is no longer an install option. I can look into
that some more if we want to go that route but if there isn't demand for it we may just want to leave it as-is.

One issue I just noticed, when logging in as "ubuntu" (this doesn't seem to happen when you login as an athena user) I'm seeing 'The panel encountered a problem while loading "TrashAppletFactory::TrashApplet?" '
May be the same as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-applets/+bug/727660
Should probably look into #283 when creating new live CDs.
