I thought schroot would save us but it doesn't; the last two machines I watched reboot had leftover sessions that it attempted to recover.

1. We should double-check schroot's work in cleaning up more thoroughly
2. schroot should be configured to remove existing sessions at boot, not recover them. I think I saw an option about this.

Black screens with just a cursor are scary.

For bonus points, try to have a reasonably informative progress bar.

Occasionally users can't log in because bugme dies in kernelspace. I forgot to copy down the exact error (something about fs/locks.c), but this happened a few times on quickstation-11-3.
