ldap-too.mit.edu is a better and more intentional version of ldap.mit.edu, and will become ldap after testing with the NMC (according to mark), which will happen fairly soon. We should test all our current LDAP configuration for address books and so forth to make sure that everything still works. I don't expect them to break schemas, but sanity checking can never hurt. |

Athena 9 had a number of pre-login options, including xcluster, MITVMA, telnet to Barton, and, uh, other stuff. Some of these are possibly still useful. We should either restore them, or turn them into webapps and alter the kiosk mode home page. This is almost certainly preferable, because, e.g., Barton is now web-only. |

For backwards-compatibility reasons, we should continue to support -Pprinter2 in the CUPS world. We don't currently configure these printers on cups.mit.edu; we can either do so, and figure out how to make a queue that duplexes by default, or figure out if this can be auto-generated locally. One issue to avoid is displaying printer2 printers in the graphical browser. |
